Job summary

Intersect, a leader in energy and data center infrastructure, seeks a Gas Power Projects Leader to oversee a portfolio of power plant design and construction projects across feasibility to commissioning. You will manage and develop Project Managers, ensuring schedule, quality, safety, and cost performance for a critical Texas-focused portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or closely related field.
• PgMP or equivalent certification preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive Project/Program Management experience.
• Experience leading multiple gas-fired power plant projects.
• Proven ability to hire and mentor Project Managers.
• Strong understanding of PMI PMBOK and PgMP methodologies.
• Executive communication and stakeholder influence at all levels.
• Knowledge of safety regulations for the Texas energy sector.
• Experience managing EPC firms and complex contracts.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction for the project portfolio including scope and resources.
• Consolidate schedules, budgets, risk registers, and progress reporting.
• Mentor and lead a high-performing team of Project Managers.
• Oversee contractor performance, contract compliance, and change control.
• Establish governance with engineering for EPC design approvals.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards in TX.
• Review major plans, vendor submittals, and construction methods.
• Design and enforce change management and QA frameworks.
• Lead project close-out and handover to operations.
• Maintain transparent communications with leadership and partners.
• Promote safety-first culture and rigorous on-site standards.
• Foster collaboration and continuous improvement across projects.
