NiSource Inc. is seeking an entry level Field/Service Technician in Zanesville, OH. The role progresses to Field/Service Technician 2 after two years with training and Operator Qualifications.

You will install, repair and maintain distribution facilities and operate light earth-moving equipment in support of residential and commercial customers. Responsibilities include installing meters, inspecting lines for leaks, and advising contractors on service installations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools for repair of field facilities.
• Ability to work in a team and follow instructions with limited supervision.
• Must be able to read/interpert gauges & dials and pass required safety assessments.

Responsabilités

• Install, repair and replace distribution facilities such as main lines and services.
• Operate light earth-moving equipment (backhoe, side boom, tamper, hydra-crane) and perform routine maintenance.
• Install meters, settings, regulators and test lines for leaks; respond to gas service inquiries and emergencies.
• Turn gas on/off for customers and assist with service installations and repairs.
