Job summary

Kapur & Associates is seeking a talented Designer to deliver gas and electric design services for residential, commercial, and industrial customers within the We Energies territory, using MicroStation to create detailed service designs and small distribution plans.

This union designer position involves collaboration with builders and We Energies teams to ensure regulatory compliance and timely project delivery, while supporting design process improvements and adopting industry best practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Background in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical preferred.
• Proficient with MicroStation and design principles.

Responsibilities

• Create gas and electric designs for residential, commercial, and industrial customers.
• Develop site plans, determine meter locations, and evaluate routes per standards.
• Collaborate with builders, internal teams, and contractors; communicate progress weekly.
• Document project updates and manage multiple projects to meet deadlines.
• Stay updated on industry standards and improve design processes.
