Job summary

Summit Utilities, Inc. in Cushing, OK, seeks a Construction & Maintenance Technician I (SGL3) to perform field operations including installation, repair, and maintenance of natural gas distribution systems.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license; the ability to work outdoors in all weather; availability for emergencies; and the willingness to pass a DOT drug-screening program. Summit offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to work outdoors daily in all weather conditions.
Must be available to respond to emergencies during and after normal working hours.
Must be able to pass DOT drug testing and related requirements.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, or replace steel and plastic pipe.
Provide First Responder assistance in emergency situations.
Load and unload required equipment, tools, and supplies onto and from truck.
Use a variety of hand tools and power tools.
Operate a motor vehicle and heavy equipment.
Enter and exit vehicle unassisted.
Operate a personal computer.
Exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally.
Stand, walk, and work in various weather conditions.
Handle emergency situations, including possible exposure to gaseous atmospheres.
Respond to emergency calls and/or call-outs.
Submit to random drug screen pool required for DOT positions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
