Job summary

Summit Utilities, Inc. in Conway, AR, is seeking a Construction & Maintenance Technician I (SGL3) to support installation, repair and maintenance of natural gas distribution systems.

This role requires teamwork, physical endurance and adherence to safety policies in field operations. You will perform duties such as installing pipe, handling tools, responding to emergencies, and complying with DOT and company drug testing policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to work outdoors daily, in all weather conditions.
• Must be available to respond to emergencies during and after normal hours.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, or replace steel and plastic pipe.
• Provide First Responder assistance in emergency situations.
• Load and unload required equipment, tools, and supplies onto and from truck.
• Use a variety of hand tools and power tools.
• Operate a motor vehicle and heavy equipment as needed.
• Enter and exit vehicle unassisted.
• Stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch for extended periods in all weather.
• Handle potentially hazardous environments and respond to emergencies.
• Submit to random drug screening as required.
