Job summary

Ameren Illinois is seeking a Gas Distribution System Operating Supervisor to lead field personnel in responding to gas emergencies and coordinating routine operations. The role supports public safety by directing gas-related work, monitoring staffing, and maintaining communications with supervision across Decatur and Pawnee sites.

The position requires a High School diploma and 5+ years in gas or electric distribution, with strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
5+ years of relevant experience in gas or electric distribution.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to supervise diversified field activities.
Willingness to work rotating shifts; overtime and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

Direct gas field personnel to respond to emergency and non-emergency orders.
Monitor resources and staffing within assigned Operating Center.
Maintain communications with Gas Supervision to address changing resource needs.
Perform after-hours callouts for emergencies or outages.
Ensure compliance with processes and safety procedures; manage field activities.
