Job summary

NorthStar Energy Solutions, a Quanta Services company, seeks a Cost Engineer/APM – Gas Operations in Grand Prairie, TX. You will support planning, coordination, and execution of gas distribution projects with Project Managers and field leadership.

Role requires travel to project sites; Monday–Friday schedule with extended hours as projects dictate. Gas distribution or utility construction experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
• 0–3 years of experience in construction project coordination or cost control.
• Working knowledge of cost tracking and budget variance analysis.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Track project costs against budget across labor, material, equipment and subcontractors.
• Support cost forecasting and estimate-vs-actual analyses.
• Assist with change order cost impact review and pricing changes.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams during mobilization and execution.
• Prepare regular status reports highlighting cost and schedule risks.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, or a related field
