Job summary

NorthStar Energy Solutions, a Quanta Services, Inc. company, seeks an experienced Director to lead its Gas Distribution division across assigned markets, overseeing construction, maintenance, and repair operations.

Location is Grand Prairie, TX; the role sets strategic direction, ensures safety and regulatory compliance, manages budgets and P&L, and builds strong client and workforce relationships. You will drive operational excellence with senior field teams and support business development

Qualifications

• 10+ years in gas distribution/utility operations.
• 5+ years in a senior leadership or director-level role.
• Knowledge of PHMSA, DOT, OSHA regulations.
• Proven track record managing P&L and budgets for multi-crew operations.
• Ability to lead and retain high-performing field teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the Gas Distribution division across region(s).
• Own P&L responsibility including budgeting, forecasting, and revenue growth.
• Develop policies to improve safety, quality, and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with PHMSA, DOT, OSHA and other regulations.
• Lead, mentor, and develop operations leadership and crews.
• Build strong relationships with clients, regulators, and partners.
• Oversee resource planning to staff and support projects.
• Drive safety culture with safety, quality, and compliance teams.
• Monitor KPIs and take corrective actions to meet goals.
• Support bidding, proposals, and contract negotiations for gas work.
