Job summary

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. in Texas seeks a Cylinder Technician to process medical and industrial gas cylinders, following established plant guidelines.

You will inspect cylinders visually, physically, and by odor to determine retest or repair needs before filling, and you will load/unload shipments from weekly shuttle truck. A high school diploma or GED and 1+ year of plant or manufacturing experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year experience in a plant or manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical background desired.
• Demonstrated leadership, problem solving, communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Process medical and industrial gas cylinders following established plant guidelines and procedures.
• Conduct cylinder inspections (visual, physical, and odor) to determine retesting or repairs before filling.
• Check cylinder quantities, styles and product; fill as needed and load/unload from weekly shuttle truck.
• Operate and maintain cylinder scales and related equipment.
• Prepare warehouse transfer orders and paperwork; enter data into the computer to justify stock levels.
• Complete quality control documentation and operate forklift and other plant vehicles.
