Job summary

RigUp is seeking a Compressor Station Technician to monitor and operate gas compressor stations in the Eagle Ford area (Fowlerton/Tilden/Cotulla, TX). The role follows a 7 on/off schedule and includes on-call duties, overtime, and emergency responses.

The job is field-based in outdoor facilities with varying weather conditions. Responsibilities include monitoring gauges, starting/stopping units, responding to alarms, performing maintenance, and coordinating with other departments to keep systems

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of oilfield experience.
Familiar with gas compression and process flow.

Responsibilities

Monitor pressure gauges, start and stop compressors, respond to station alarms, and maintain gas temperatures.
Troubleshoot issues on H2S Ultrafab's, Glycol Dehydration Systems (TEG), and VRU's (Vapor Recovery Units).
Listen for unusual noises or spot irregularities that could indicate equipment failure.
Make spot on and emergency repairs.
Change filters in coalescing separators and dehydration systems to ensure proper facility operations.
Manage Water & Oil API Tank levels.
Work with other departments to solve any issues (e.g., automation, measurement, and pigging operations).
Operate stations within emergency shutdown setpoints which include H2S, Gas Dewpoint, O2 levels, and Gas Temperatures.
