Job summary

RigUp is seeking a Compressor Station Technician to monitor and operate gas compressor stations in the Eagle Ford area (Fowlerton/Tilden/Cotulla, TX). The role follows a 7 on/off schedule and includes on-call duties, overtime, and emergency responses.

The job is field-based in outdoor facilities with varying weather conditions. Responsibilities include monitoring gauges, starting/stopping units, responding to alarms, performing maintenance, and coordinating with other departments to keep systems

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of oilfield experience.
• Familiar with gas compression and process flow.

Responsibilities

• Monitor pressure gauges, start and stop compressors, respond to station alarms, and maintain gas temperatures.
• Troubleshoot issues on H2S Ultrafab's, Glycol Dehydration Systems (TEG), and VRU's (Vapor Recovery Units).
• Listen for unusual noises or spot irregularities that could indicate equipment failure.
• Make spot on and emergency repairs.
• Change filters in coalescing separators and dehydration systems to ensure proper facility operations.
• Manage Water & Oil API Tank levels.
• Work with other departments to solve any issues (e.g., automation, measurement, and pigging operations).
• Operate stations within emergency shutdown setpoints which include H2S, Gas Dewpoint, O2 levels, and Gas Temperatures.

Job Description:

Gas Compressor Station Monitoring position in the Eagle Ford area (Fowlerton/Tilden/Cotulla, Texas - LaSalle and McMullen Counties). Work schedule is 7 on & 7 off. Compressor Tech will be on call during their shift, including any callouts after regular work hours. Subject to overtime, shift work, and callouts to handle system emergencies.

Work Environment: Outdoor and facility-based location setting in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Work safe and keep a clean work area and environment; follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
• Attend mandatory quarterly safety meetings and training
• Monitor pressure gauges, start and stop compressors, respond to station alarms, and maintain gas temperatures
• Troubleshoot issues on H2S Ultrafab's, Glycol Dehydration Systems (TEG), and VRU's (Vapor Recovery Units)
• Listen for unusual noises or spot irregularities that could indicate equipment failure
• Make spot on and emergency repairs
• Change filters in coalescing separators and dehydration systems to ensure proper facility operations
• Manage Water & Oil API Tank levels
• Work with other departments to solve any issues (e.g., automation, measurement, and pigging operations)
• Work with high & low pressures
• Operate stations within emergency shutdown setpoints which include H2S, Gas Dewpoint, O2 levels, and Gas Temperatures
• Conduct daily visual inspection of compressor stations for leaks and noisesCommunicate with Field Foreman, Leads, Compressor Techs, and 3rd party companies
• Perform maintenance/repairs on air compressors, pumps, valves, and regulators
• Monitor separator liquid levels and make proper adjustments to dump controllers

Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of oilfield experienceHigh School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) Education Accredited
