Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking an Engineering Intern for the Project Applications Engineering team in San Diego, CA.

You will support refurbishment and upgrade projects for gas compressor restages, collaborating with Sales, overhaul facilities, and engineering teams to plan and execute technical and commercial strategies. This onsite internship offers hands-on experience with data analysis, CRM restage proposals, and creating cut sheets for key customers, while working with multiple engineering

Qualifications

• Pursuing a 4-year or advanced degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
• Classified by your school as a Junior or Senior planning to attend graduate school.
• Overall GPA of at least 2.8 on a 4.0 scale.

Responsibilities

• Organize and analyze historical CRM restage proposal data
• Analyze output from the restage lead generator tool
• Data mine customer database to identify top compressor customers by region and installed base
• Develop cut sheets for the top 20 customers outlining fleet and restage potential
• Organize historical compressor curves by model for rapid restage evaluation in gas compressor analysis tools
