Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is offering a 2027 Entry Level Gas Compressor Engineering Rotation in San Diego. The program develops future engineers through a two-year rotation across Aerodynamics, Rotordynamics, and more, ending with long-term placements in Gas Compressor Engineering.

Candidates should have a mechanical/ aerospace background and be willing to relocate. This internship-style program includes on-site work five days a week, relocation assistance where applicable, and an emphasis on hands-on

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related engineering discipline.
Overall GPA of at least 2.8 on a 4.0 scale.
0-3 years of relevant work experience, prior co-op or internship experience.
Must be able and willing to relocate to San Diego, CA.

Responsibilities

Participate in a two-year rotation with multiple three- to six-month assignments across Aerodynamics, Rotordynamics, Mechanical and Electrical Analysis, Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Test, Systems Analysis, and Product Management.
End-of-rotation placements in Gas Compressor Engineering departments at Caterpillar.
Relocation to San Diego, CA may be required.
