Job summary

USA Compression Partners, LP is seeking a Field Service Technician to service and maintain customer-owned compression equipment across our Midland, TX region. The role involves driving a service vehicle to customer sites, performing scheduled maintenance, and supporting major repairs with autonomy.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in gas compression, relevant engine certifications, a valid US driver's license, and strong customer service and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical/trade school certification preferred.
• At least 2 years of gas compression industry experience; CAT/Ariel and Cummins certifications preferred.
• Ability to legally work in the U.S. and a valid driver’s license.
• Comfort with driving a large commercial vehicle.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to work extended hours and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and overhaul tasks on compression equipment.
• Follow safety and environmental policies per company handbook.
• Gather data for reports by assigned deadlines.
• Respond quickly to supervisor or customer inquiries.
• Collaborate with customer and supervisor on major repairs.
• Operate company vehicle per guidelines.
• Coordinate with sales to identify new opportunities.
• Coordinate with parts to ensure availability of parts.
• Maintain clean, safe working conditions at job sites.
• Manage various gas compression units and related equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
