Job summary

USA Compression Partners, LP is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform preventive, corrective, and major maintenance on natural gas compression equipment at customer sites. The role involves troubleshooting, engine overhauls, compressor rebuilds, and supporting startups and commissioning.

The position requires extensive travel, a 14 days on/off rotation away from home, and emphasizes safety, reliability, and customer service.

Qualifications

• Strong customer-facing communication and service orientation.
• Good mechanical aptitude with engines or rotating equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and service bulletins.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel extensively on a rotational schedule.
• Ability to work independently in outdoor, remote, and harsh environments.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective, and major maintenance on natural gas compression equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues to restore performance.
• Conduct engine overhauls, compressor rebuilds, and component replacements.
• Support start-ups, shutdowns, commissioning, and optimization activities.
