Job summary

Avantor is seeking a focused team member in Chandler, AZ to support garment handling and santization processes. You will replenish garments at the point of use, collect used garments, and ensure accurate tracking data for inventory performance.

The role requires 1+ years in material handling or customer service, with GMP experience preferred, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Transportation to customer sites may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• 1+ years experience in material handling, inventory replenishment and/or customer service.
• Previous GMP facility experience preferred.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Point of use replenishment of garments.
• Collection and inspection of used garments before shipment.
• Record usage data and add to tracking log.
• Receive inbound shipments and prepare shipping docs.
• Run hanger assignments database for customers.
• May travel to customer sites.
• Daily inspections of inventory & soil bins to avoid overflow.
• Review invoices against packaging/shipping receipts.
• Order new garments as needed.
• Map garment locations for training aids.
• Serve as point of contact for garment issues.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Opportunity:

In this role, you will report to the site services supervisor and will work closely with the Avantor's Lab and Production Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

• Hourly Rate: $17.00
• Shift: Thursday - Saturday and every other Wed, 6 am - 6 pm with 1 hr. lunch
• Location: Chandler, AZ

What we're looking for:

Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required

Experience: 1+ years' experience in material handling, inventory replenishment and/or customer service preferred. Some verifiable work experience required.

Previous experience working in a GMP facility desired.

Able to lift 50lbs. required.

In this role you will:

• Point of use replenishment of garments
• Collection of used garments
• Inspection of used garments to identify any damage before shipment
• Collection of usage data at the point of use and adding it to the tracking log
• Receive inbound shipments from common carriers
• Responsible for preparing shipping documentation and staging material for pickup
• Run the customer's database of hanger assignments
• May require traveling to customer sites
• Daily inspections of inventory & soil bins check to avoid overflow
• Review and approve any invoices to packaging and shipping receipts
• Ordering new garments as needed or any special sizes
• Mapping out garment locations for training aids
• Point person for any garment issues or concerns
• Other duties as assigned
