Job summary

Avantor, Chandler, AZ, is seeking an entry-level warehouse/lab support associate. You will perform mission-based lab work and inventory tasks, replenishing garments at point of use and handling inbound shipments. Training is provided, and a strong attention to instructions and safety is expected.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Experience: 0–1 year in warehouse, logistics, laboratory, or similar materials-handling environment.
• Basic reading and math skills to verify counts, read labels, and complete logs.
• Willingness to learn material handling equipment and inventory tracking.

Responsibilities

• Point of use replenishment of garments.
• Collection of used garments and inspection for damage.
• Record usage data and add to tracking log.
• Receive inbound shipments and perform daily inventory checks.
• Order new garments as needed and map garment locations for training aids.

Job description

In this role, you will report to the site services supervisor and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Hourly Rate: $17.00
Shift: 6 am - 6 pm, Thursday through Saturday and every other Wednesday
Location: Chandler, AZ

What we’re looking for

• Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required
• Experience: 0 - 1 year of experience in a warehouse, logistics, laboratory, or similar materials-handling environment
• Collaboration Tool: Microsoft Teams experience preferred
• No prior laboratory-specific experience required; on-the-job training provided
• Demonstrated ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately and consistently
• Basic reading and math skills sufficient to verify item counts, read labels, and complete activity logs
• Ability to use a handheld scanner or tablet device for inventory tracking (training provided)
• Familiarity with standard material handling equipment (hand carts, dollies) or willingness to learn
• Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds (23kg) with or without assistance
• Stand and walk for extended periods across a customer facility

In this role you will:

• Point of use replenishment of garments
• Collection of used garments.
• Inspection of used garments to identify any damage before shipment.
• Collection of usage data at the point of use and adding it to the tracking log
• Receive inbound shipments from common carriers.
• Daily inspections of inventory & soil bins check to avoid overflow.
• Ordering new garments as needed or any special sizes.
• Mapping out garment locations for training aids
• Point person for any garment issues or concerns.
• Other duties as assigned.
