Job summary

Avantor is seeking a warehouse associate at our Chandler, AZ site to support Lab and Production Services. The role handles inventory, garment replenishment, and inbound shipments with on-the-job training provided.

The position emphasizes accuracy, safety, and data logging to help keep operations efficient. The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED and up to one year in a similar environment, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Experience: 0 - 1 year in a warehouse, logistics, laboratory, or similar materials-handling environment.
• No prior laboratory-specific experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Demonstrated ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately and consistently.
• Basic reading and math skills to verify item counts, read labels, and complete activity logs.
• Ability to use a handheld scanner or tablet device for inventory tracking.
• Familiarity with standard material handling equipment or willingness to learn.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds (23kg).
• Stand and walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Point of use replenishment of garments.
• Collection of used garments.
• Inspection of used garments for damage before shipment.
• Collection of usage data and logging in tracking system.
• Receive inbound shipments from common carriers.
• Daily inspections of inventory and soil bins to avoid overflow.
• Ordering new garments as needed or for special sizes.
• Mapping garment locations for training aids.
• Point person for garment issues or concerns.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Opportunity: In this role, you will report to the site services supervisor and will work closely with the Avantor's Lab and Production Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Hourly Rate: $17.00

Shift: 6 am - 6 pm, Thursday through Saturday and every other Wednesday

Location: Chandler, AZ

What we're looking for

• Stand and walk for extended periods across a customer facility

In this role you will:
