Avantor's Lab and Production Services team is hiring an on-site Material Handling Associate in Chandler, AZ. You will perform garment replenishment, inspect returns, and ensure accurate tracking data to support daily operations.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 6+ months in material handling or customer service, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. GMP experience is a plus; on-site work with occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• 6+ months' experience in material handling, inventory replenishment, and/or customer service preferred; some verifiable work experience preferred.
• Microsoft Teams experience preferred.
• Previous experience working in a GMP facility desired.
• Able to lift 50lbs required.

Responsibilities

• Point of use replenishment of garments.
• Collection of used garments.
• Inspection of used garments to identify any damage before shipment.
• Collection of usage data at point of use and add to tracking log.
• Receive inbound shipments from common carriers.
• Prepare shipping documentation and stage material for pickup.
• Run customer's database of hanger assignments.
• May require traveling to customer sites.
• Inspection of any damaged garments returned as truly damaged items.
• Daily inspections of inventory & soil bins to avoid overflow.
• Review and approve invoices to packaging and shipping receipts.
• Order new garments as needed or for special sizes.
• Map garment locations for training aids.
• Be the point person for garment issues or concerns.

Job description

The Opportunity:

In this role, you will report to the site services supervisor and will work closely with the Avantor's Lab and Production Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Hourly Rate: $17.00

Location: Chandler, AZ

Shifts: Thursday - Saturday and every other Wednesday from 6 am - 6 pm
