Job summary

Smith Gardens, Inc. seeks a Merchandising Supervisor to oversee live goods merchandising across Home Depot and Walmart Garden Centers in the territory.

You will lead a team of merchandisers, coordinate with store personnel, and ensure merchandising plans and ads are executed to optimize shopper experience. The role requires 3–5 years in management/merchandising, strong leadership, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of management / leadership experience
• 3-5 years of merchandising experience
• Must have a smartphone with timekeeping app
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license with auto insurance
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other applications

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of 15+ merchandisers that work in Home Depot and Walmart Garden Centers.
• Recruit, interview, hire, train, and team-build merchandising staff.
• Communicate merchandising directions to field teams to optimize shopper experience and sell-through.
• Execute approved merchandising plans, store layouts, and Plant-O-Grams.
• Manage budgets, labor, and track store/territory sales and sell-through.
• Coordinate with HD/WM Account Managers and Replenishment Analysts on inventory and product issues.
• Ensure all product is signed correctly and ads are executed.
• Oversee timekeeping and timecard approvals; manage restocking and shelving.
• Work weekends and holiday shifts as required.
