Knapp Valley Gardens in Grand Rapids, MI is hiring a Garden Center Customer Service Representative to assist customers, manage daily operations with the Garden Center Manager, and help maintain displays.

This role involves cash register transactions, helping customers find plants, loading materials, and working outdoors in varying weather. Weekend availability and reliability are required; some plant knowledge and computer use skills are preferred.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Retail sales experience preferred.
• Knowledge of plants and landscape materials preferred.
• Comfortable using computers and technology.

Knapp Valley Gardens is hiring a Garden Center Customer Service Representative.

Job Duties:

• Work with the Garden Center Manager to perform daily operations.
• Assist customers in finding plants and materials.
• Perform cash register transactions for plants and materials.
• Assist in organization / maintenance of plants and materials in the nursery.
• Assist in organizing and preparing plants and materials for scheduled jobs.
• Unload deliveries / tag merchandise / maintain displays.
• Load plants, mulches and other bulk materials using loading equipment.
• Ensure that all work activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
• Communicate with customers and fellow staff in a polite and courteous manner.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is preferred.
• Retail sales experience is preferred.
• Some knowledge of plants and plant care landscape material is preferred.
• Comfortable and competent using computers and technology.
• Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently and as a team member.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Work outdoors in various conditions including heat and humidity, rain, and cold.
• Must have weekend availability.
