Job summary

Loews Arlington Hotel seeks a mid-level Garde Manger Cook II to prepare cold dishes, salads, and buffet platters for daily service and events. This role supports the Garde Manger team and trains junior cooks, ensuring timely, artistic food production in a high-volume setting.

You will follow standardized recipes, assist with setup and breakdown, and uphold food safety and sanitation standards while working in a fast-paced hotel kitchen.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training preferred.
• Basic knife skills and sanitation knowledge.
• Experience with cold food preparation and banquet setup is desired.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cold food items including salads, dressings and hors d'oeuvres.
• assist in setup/breakdown of garde manger station for daily service and events.
• Support buffet and banquet preparation with decorative trays and displays.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of station and walk-in coolers.
• Ensure proper labeling, dating and rotation of ingredients.
