Job summary

Milwaukee County Transit System is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee day-to-day maintenance and garage operations at an assigned transit facility, ensuring buses are safe, reliable, and available to meet scheduled service requirements.

This role directs maintenance personnel, collaborates with Operations/Dispatch, and ensures adherence to FTA/DOT/OSHA standards while promoting safety and continuous improvement. CDL required; associate degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in a maintenance or similar supervisory role.
• Valid Class D Wisconsin driver’s license (non-probationary) required.
• Valid Class B CDL with P endorsement and no air brake restriction or ability to obtain CDL permit.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily maintenance and garage operations to keep buses safe and available for scheduled service.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and monitor maintenance performance indicators.
• Coach and develop maintenance staff and manage documentation of activities and reporting.
