Job summary

Connect Transit in Bloomington, IL seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance department, manage staff, and ensure fleet safety and reliability. The role includes coordinating repairs, maintaining records, and collaborating with leadership to meet objectives.

The position requires experience in fleet maintenance, a Class B CDL within one year, and a commitment to safety and quality. Evening/weekend availability is expected.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience supervising fleet maintenance teams.
• Ability to enforce safety standards and procedures.
• Capable of coordinating multiple maintenance tasks and crews.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, schedule, and assign work to Maintenance staff.
• Coordinate routine and scheduled maintenance of fleet and equipment; estimate repair times.
• Review progress for compliance with standards; take action to keep repairs on track.
• Inspect facilities and arrange timely maintenance/repairs.
• Maintain vehicle and employee records accurately.
• Research and recommend equipment purchases; monitor inventory.
• Order corrective maintenance and monitor PMI and on-time performance.
• Prepare payroll adjustments and document overtime usage.
• Develop training topics and SOPs; enforce policies and objectives.
• Communicate effectively with internal/external customers; adapt to needs.
