Job summary

PCI Municipal Services is seeking a Garage Maintenance Attendant for the Galvez Garage in Baton Rouge. The role ensures the facility is clean, safe, and well-maintained, performing opening/closing duties and supporting daily operations.

Responsibilities include cleaning all areas, completing periodic projects, reporting issues to the Facility Manager, and supporting special tasks such as painting and storage cleanup. Physical work and varied shifts are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior janitorial and maintenance experience is preferred.
• Able to follow detailed instructions and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily opening and closing procedures, ensuring gates, doors and restrooms are secured and operational.
• Clean the facility: sweep, mop, empty trash, clean stairs, elevators, lobbies, restrooms and offices.
• Complete weekly/monthly cleaning projects: wipe handrails, remove cobwebs, clean glass doors, polish stainless steel, maintain signage and equipment.
• Treat oil spots, clean drains, sweep entry/exit lanes and maintain exterior areas.
• Report facility or equipment issues promptly to the Facility Manager.
• Assist with special projects including painting and storage/pipe cleaning.
• Stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs in indoor/outdoor conditions.
