Job summary

Overhead Door Corporation is seeking a skilled installer/service technician to install, maintain, and repair residential garage doors and openers across multiple sites. You will remove old doors, install new systems, and ensure safety and customer satisfaction while coordinating with customers, team members, and management.

The role requires 1–3 years of related experience, HS diploma or GED, strong communication, precise workmanship, and ability to work in varied weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication with staff and customers.
• Strong attention to detail and workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, and manuals.
• Basic math: proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volume.

Responsibilities

• Install residential garage doors, openers, springs, tracks, cables, hinges and related hardware following manufacturer specs.
• Perform service and diagnostic work on residential garage door systems.
• Document scope of work and communicate changes for approval.
• Maintain records of work performed and materials used.
• Load/unload tools and maintain clean, organized job sites.
