Job summary

Action Overhead Garage Door is seeking a Service Technician to service residential and commercial garage doors, door openers, and keyless entry systems in the Minneapolis–Saint Paul metro area. The role covers installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance in new and existing buildings.

You will work with warehouse staff, follow manuals, and ensure safety and high quality workmanship while promoting the company with customers and coworkers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
• Ability to read manuals and follow instructions.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and assess customer issues.
• Ensure job site safety and cleanliness.
• Load materials with warehouse staff for job preparation.
• Coordinate with Service Coordinator for routing and scheduling.
• Read and understand instruction manuals for products installed.
• Review Work Order information for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain truck readiness (fuel, service, stock).
• Document installation details on work orders.
