Job summary

A1 Garage Door Service is seeking installers capable of handling physical, customer-facing work to install and service residential garage doors. Training is provided through a four-week apprenticeship, with paid instructional weeks in Phoenix and a $1,000 completion bonus.

Roles include physical labor, on-site customer interaction, and ongoing skill growth. Starting pay is competitive $36.75/hour (plus commission on sales/services) with weekly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 21+ years old with valid driver’s license required.
• Able to bend, climb, kneel and stand for long periods.
• Physically able to lift 75lbs and handle garage door components.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test and background check.
• Reading and basic math skills required; able to use tablets/computers.

Responsibilities

• Install new garage doors for residential customers.
• Remove existing door and mechanical parts as needed.
• Replace worn/broken door parts using hand tools.
• Assemble mechanical parts and install springs, sections, hardware.
• Run wiring to connect equipment and test functionality.
• Educate customers on upgrades and ensure satisfaction.
• Document activities related to installations.
