Job summary

A1 Garage Door Service is hiring an Installer in Reno, NV. The role involves installing and servicing residential garage doors, with training provided. Apprenticeship is 4 weeks at the A1 Training Academy in Phoenix, AZ, including flights and accommodations, paid at $20/hour with 45–50 hours weekly and potential overtime.

Starting pay during training is $20/hour, with a $1,000 completion bonus. After training, pay rises to $36.75/hour with commission, plus benefits and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Reading skills and basic math skills required.
• Valid driver’s license for at least 3 years with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check.
• Knowledge of basic software such as navigation apps, Google etc., as well as tablet and computer use.
• Professional and approachable appearance.
• Employment requires current eligibility to legally work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Install new garage doors for residential customers.
• Remove existing door and mechanical parts.
• Replace worn or broken door parts using tools.
• Assemble mechanical parts.
• Install springs, sections, slats, and hardware.
• Run wiring to connect equipment.
• Lubricate and test mechanical parts for proper functioning.
• Educate customers on upgraded parts and services and ensure satisfaction.
• Document activities related to installations.
