Job summary

A1 Garage Door is hiring installers to fit and service residential garage doors across our markets. You will install new doors, remove old hardware, assemble components, and ensure customer satisfaction through quality workmanship.

You’ll learn on the job with our apprenticeship, training, and ongoing support. A1 covers travel for training, provides a company van, tools, and a pathway for advancement within the team.

Qualifications

• Must be physically able to lift 75 lbs and handle manual tasks.
• Able to bend, climb, kneel and stand for long periods.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and criminal background check.
• Apprenticeship/training program provided by the company.

Responsibilities

• Install new garage doors for residential customers.
• Remove existing door and mechanical parts.
• Replace worn or broken door parts using tools.
• Assemble mechanical parts.
• Install springs, sections, slats, and hardware.
• Run wiring to connect equipment.
• Lubricate and test mechanical parts for proper functioning.
• Educate customers on upgraded parts and services and ensure satisfaction.
• Document activities related to installations.
