Job summary

Precision Garage Door Service is hiring a Garage Door Installer in New York. You will be trained and equipped with a company vehicle to visit customer sites and install, repair, and replace garage doors. You will guide customers through service options and complete jobs to a high standard.

Earn between $30.00-$50.00 per hour, with comprehensive benefits and a supportive team. You’ll work independently most of the day while receiving solid office support and ongoing development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds independently.
• Must be able to bend, climb, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
• Must be able to work in the heat and cold, both outside and inside garages.
• Have interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with customers and solve issues.
• Communicate and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Be reliable and able to serve our customers following our process.
• Experience in the garage door industry is preferred but not required — we will train you.
• Must be able to use a computer/tablet.
• Must be able to use hand tools and operate mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and Repair - repairing garage doors, door operators, replacing worn parts, installing new equipment including doors, and replacing springs.
• Educating the Customer - explain options and review work with customers so they understand.
• Sell Service, Repairs, and New Equipment - using our model, train you to sell services and collect payment.
• Manage Inventory in Your Vehicle - carry the right tools and products to service calls.
