Job summary

A1 Garage Door is hiring an Installer to fit and service residential garage doors across our Kingman area. You will install doors, remove old units, assemble parts, run wiring, and educate customers on upgrades.

We provide a four-week apprenticeship in Phoenix, paid at $20/hour, with flights and accom covered. Upon completion you earn a $1,000 bonus and advance to junior installer. Starting pay is $36.75/hour plus commission, with weekly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Age 21+ with valid driver’s license and 3+ years driving history.
• Able to bend, climb, kneel and stand for long periods.
• Physically able to lift 75 lbs and lift garage door panels above head.
• Able to stand on a ladder.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools (power drill, hammer, saw, etc.).
• Pass pre-employment drug test (not including THC) and background check.
• Knowledge of basic software such as navigation apps, Google, tablet and computer use.
• GED or HS diploma not required, but reading skills and basic math are required.
• Professional & approachable appearance.
• Employment requires current eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Install new garage doors for residential customers.
• Remove existing door and mechanical parts.
• Replace worn or broken door parts using tools.
• Assemble mechanical parts.
• Install springs, sections, slats, and hardware.
• Run wiring to connect equipment.
• Lubricate and test mechanical parts for proper functioning.
• Educate customers on upgraded parts and services and ensure satisfaction.
• Document activities related to installations.
