Position Summary:

The primary responsibility of the Garage Attendant Supervisor is to oversee associates, ensuring exceptional guest service and compliance with company policies. This role involves working closely with the Commercial Parking Manager and includes responsibilities such as hiring, training, and coaching associates, as well as managing revenue reports and handling guest property claims. Garage Attendant Supervisors actively manage shifts, issue tickets, complete administrative duties, and maintain the cleanliness of parking areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a weekly schedule of 40+ hours on-site at the account.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial Parking Manager to oversee parking operations and staff.
  • Address guest concerns, claims, and service issues promptly and effectively.
  • Ensure associates adhere to uniform and grooming standards before each shift.
  • Monitor attendance and timekeeping to ensure compliance with clocking procedures.
  • Conduct and actively participate in required staff meetings, facilitating communication of pertinent information.
  • Set up and dismantle equipment as required and ensure availability of necessary supplies.
  • Cultivate a team-oriented atmosphere and promote open communication among staff.
  • Assist in reviewing payroll and car counts and follow up with associates as needed.
  • Supervise the garage attendant team to ensure adherence to proper procedures.
  • Uphold safety standards for associates and guests at all times.
  • Utilize personal cell phones for work-related purposes as necessary.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Commercial Parking Manager.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

Knowledge and Critical Skills/Expertise:

  • Proficiency in operational methods, procedures, and equipment used in parking operations.
  • Capacity to maintain composure in high-stress or high-volume scenarios.
  • Demonstrated leadership and instructional capabilities.
  • Successful completion of mandatory leadership training.
  • Understanding of account locations and authorized parking areas.
  • Commitment to adherence to company policies and procedures.

Computer Skills:

  • Proficiency in Windows and Office products.
  • Ability to learn and train associates on new technology.

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience and customer service/hospitality experience preferred.
  • Management or leadership training is desirable.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Directly supervise up to 20 associates.
  • Carry out assigned supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.

Work Environment:

  • Exposure to outdoor weather conditions and extreme temperatures.
  • Noise from moving vehicles may be present.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Stand for extended periods.
  • Communicate effectively in noisy environments.
