Job summary

GameStop in Cincinnati seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in all facets of store operations and guest service. You will supervise Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders, promote loyalty programs, and ensure a clean, organized shopping environment.

Responsibilities include training staff, monitoring performance, and maintaining scheduling, inventory, and POS processes to drive sales and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred.
• At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred.
• Video game knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide best-in-class guest service and greet guests; respond to questions and promote promotions.
• Support store environment, visual merchandising, and customer relationships to drive sales.
• Process guest purchases and returns accurately using the POS system and provide receipts.
• Respond to guest inquiries in person or by phone; escalate to Store Manager when needed.
• Promote loyalty programs, reservations, trade-ins, and Pro Rewards to guests.
• Assist the Store Manager with onboarding, training, and performance feedback for associates.
• Schedule staff to ensure coverage, manage breaks, and control labor costs.
• Ensure cash handling, end-of-day closeouts, and bank deposits are accurate.
