Job summary

GameStop in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Full-Time Assistant Store Manager (Store 7799) to support the Store Manager in all facets of store operations. You will lead guest service, drive sales, coach Sales Associates, manage onboarding, and ensure the store is clean, organized and stocked.

The role requires at least 6 months of retail management experience and 2 years in retail sales or guest service; high school diploma required, degree in business-related field preferred.

Qualifications

• Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or accredited bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred.
• At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred.
• At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred.
• Video game knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests, answer questions, and promote promotions.
• Support the store environment, visual and operational elements, and guest relationships.
• Process guest purchases/returns using POS system accurately and courteously.
• Respond to guest questions in person or by phone and escalate issues when needed.
• Promote GameStop guest benefits and loyalty programs.
• Assist the Store Manager with onboarding, training, and policy compliance for staff.
• Monitor performance and provide feedback to Store Manager; align staff with expectations.
• Schedule staff and manage staffing levels to ensure top guest service.
• Ensure store areas are clean, organized, and merchandised per guidelines.
• Oversee inventory, cycle counts, and loss prevention practices.
