Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, NV is seeking an Accountant — General Ledger to manage full-cycle month-end close, posting journal entries, and ensuring accuracy of GL statements. You will work with the Finance team to maintain thorough financial records for both gaming and non-gaming operations.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and at least 1 year of casino accounting experience. Knowledge of Excel and GL software is essential, with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced casino

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of casino accounting experience or equivalent.
• Exposure to General Ledger accounting preferred.

Responsabilités

• Prepare, make, and review journal entries to the general ledger for gaming and non-gaming operations.
• Prepare, analyze, and distribute scheduled and ad-hoc financial reports for gaming and non-gaming ops.
• Collaborate with Finance and other departments to ensure accurate financial data maintenance.
• Assist with month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and audit work papers.
• Attend meetings to stay informed on rules, regulations, and hotel-related procedures.
