Job Summary

Gaming Support Techs or Midway Techs are responsible for the repair and maintenance of our building, including games, simulators, and technical equipment, while also assisting guests and maintaining ideal player conditions in the midway at all times.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an unparalleled guest experience through the best combination of food, drinks and games in an ideal environment.
• Keep immediate supervisors promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance, taking corrective action or suggesting alternative courses of action.
• Provide timely and accurate service while managing wait times and communicating information as needed to guests, team members, and managers.
• Greet guests with a positive attitude and enthusiasm while performing multiple job functions.
• Smile and greet guests upon entering the midway.
• Repair and maintain amusement equipment in a timely manner.
• Load and refill tickets in redemption games, paying special attention to securing all ticket storage areas.
• Assist guests with all requests, answer questions as needed, and make recommendations.
• Bid farewell to guests leaving, ensuring satisfaction and inviting them to return.
• Notify managers of any guests perceived to be unhappy.
• Stock, display, and secure merchandise in all storage areas.
• Conduct merchandise inventory during and after shifts, if applicable.
• Check for restocking of necessary supplies.
• Bring all areas up to standard and discuss problem areas with managers.
• Review the cleanliness and organization of the midway games.
• Ensure all games are clean and unobstructed.
• Properly position and set up displays to increase guest traffic and promote sales.
• Assist in daily maintenance and organization of the tech room and storage areas.
• Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly game maintenance efficiently and safely as directed by management.
• Assist with general store maintenance as directed by management.
• Assist other team members as needed.
• Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other company team members to promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate conducive to maximum morale, productivity, and effectiveness.
• Be friendly and able to smile frequently while working days, nights, and/or weekends as required.
• Possess technical and/or electrical skills preferred but not required.
• Demonstrate clear communication with guests and other team members.
• Be at least 18 years of age.

Physical Requirements

• Work days, nights, and/or weekends as required.
• Work off an extension ladder.
• Work in a noisy, fast‑paced environment with distracting conditions.
• Move throughout the facility and stand for long periods of time.
• Read and write handwritten notes.
• Lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
