Job summary

Wind Creek in Wetumpka, AL, seeks a Gaming Technician I to maintain and test gaming machines and related equipment on a night shift (11:30pm–8am). The role supports guest experiences and requires adherence to gaming and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in casino gaming or IT, or 2+ years in computers/electronics, and is able to lift heavy loads and pass a guest-service audition.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and complete GED within six months.
• Must be twenty-one years of age or older.
• One year experience in casino Gaming or casino IT department (Class II or III) preferred.
• Two years' experience working with computers or electronics preferred.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 150 pounds using a dolly.
• Must pass job interview, including guest service audition.
• Ability to work odd or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must have Tribal Gaming License or ability to obtain and maintain one.
• Must be willing to work in a smoke environment.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze reports related to game equipment performance.
• Prepare and test gaming machines.
• Respond promptly to calls for assistance.
• Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance on bingo gaming devices.
• Move and install machines as needed.
• Research and diagnose game equipment malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot and perform regular maintenance.
• Communicate information to technicians and management.
• Assist guests and co-workers as needed.
• Work closely with Vendor Technicians.
• Adhere to company policies and department expectations.
• Maintain inventory of parts and supplies.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Gaming Technician I maintains the operational order of all gaming machines and related equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Reviews and analyzes reports related to game equipment performance
• Prepares and tests gaming machines
• Maintains a sense of urgency in responding to calls for assistance or when dispatched
• Conducts scheduled preventive maintenance on all assigned electronic bingo gaming devices
• Moves and installs machines as needed
• Researches and diagnoses game equipment malfunctions
• Troubleshoots, reads meters and performs regular maintenance
• Communicates all information to fellow Technicians and Game Management
• Takes initiative to ask for and offer help to guests, co-associates and management
• Works closely with Vendor Technicians
• Adheres to MICS/TICS, Company and Departmental Expectations
• Helps maintain a working inventory of parts and supplies
• Other duties & responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements: (please ensure you meet the listed requirements prior to applying)

• High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within six (6) months from start date as a condition of continued employment
• Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older
• One (1) year experience in a casino Gaming or casino IT department (Class II or Class III) - preferred
• OR two (2) years' experience working with computers or electronics - preferred
• Must be able to lift and maneuver at least 50 lbs
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 150 pounds using a dolly
• Must successfully pass job interview, including a guest service audition
• Willing and able to work odd or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required
• Must have a Tribal Gaming License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) as a requirement for this position
• Must have willingness and ability to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment
