Job summary

Wind Creek Hospitality is seeking an EVS Attendant I to maintain a clean and sanitized gaming complex, including machines, bathrooms, and offices. The role requires physical stamina, knowledge of cleaning chemicals, and the ability to operate cleaning equipment in a casino setting.

Shifts run from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm with potential changes based on business needs. Candidates must pass a guest service audition and be at least 18 years old, with a valid GED or high school diploma and a Tribal

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled with GED completion within 6 months.
• Must be eighteen years or older.
• Must be able to lift and maneuver a 25 lb backpack vacuum for up to 2 hours.
• Must be able to push/pull 5–60 pounds to assigned areas.
• Ability to stand or walk for the entire shift.
• Must pass job interview including guest service audition.
• Must have knowledge of cleaning chemicals and tolerate solvent exposure.
• Must be able to climb a ladder for overhead work.
• Able to work in a smoke-filled environment and in a casino setting.

Responsibilities

• Keeps the gaming complex clean and sanitized.
• Vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and cleaning wood, glass, doors, tables, chairs, slot machines, carpets, and surfaces.
• Maintains cleanliness of floors in public and employee areas.
• Operates and maintains cleaning equipment properly.
• Shampoos and extracts carpets per schedule.
• Reports cleaning supplies needs or maintenance concerns to EVS Manager.
• Alerts supervisors to unsafe conditions or equipment.
• Follows all operating policies and procedures.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

Job Overview: 6am-2:30pm (Shift subject to change based on business needs)

EVS Attendant I is responsible for the upkeep and cleaning of the gaming complex to include machines, bathrooms and offices located at the casino. EVS personnel will produce the highest quality of cleanliness in all areas following established procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensures that the gaming complex stays in a clean and sanitized fashion
• Vacuums, mops, sweeps, dusts, cleans wood, glass, pictures, doors, tables, chairs, slot machines, carpets, and any surface
• Responsible for cleanliness of floors in assigned public and employee areas, which includes all front and back of the casino
• Maintains and cleans equipment used; Uses equipment properly
• According to periodic maintenance schedule, shampoos and extracts carpets
• Informs the EVS Manager of any needed cleaning supplies or maintenance concerns
• Reports any unsafe conditions or equipment to Supervisor/Manager
• Ensures that all applicable operating policies and procedures are adhered to at all times without deviation
• Performs other duties as assigned by the or supervisor/manager

Job Requirements: (please ensure you meet the listed requirements prior to applying)

• High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within 6 months from start date as a condition of continued employment
• Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older
• Must be able to lift and maneuver a backpack vacuum of twenty-five (25) pounds up to two (2) hours
• Must be able to push or pull or maneuver a minimum of five (5) to sixty (60) pounds to assigned areas
• Must be able to walk or stand for 100% of assigned shift
• Must successfully pass job interview, including a guest service audition
• Must have knowledge of cleaning chemicals
• Must be willing and able to work in the presence of solvents and cleaning chemicals
• Must be able to climb a ladder to perform overhead work
• Ability to tolerate areas containing dust, second-hand smoke, bright lights and loud noises
• Uses dexterity and gross motor skills continually; Frequently bends, pulls, pushes, lifts, and reaches above shoulders; Occasionally kneels, climbs, and crawls in order to work in difficult positions
• Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required
• Must be willing and able to work all shifts including days, nights, weekends, holidays, & overtime as required
• Must have a Tribal Gaming License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) as a requirement for this position
• Must have willingness and ability to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment, holidays, weekends and nights.
