Job summary

Game Haven is a locally owned game store located in Waunakee. We seek a friendly, dependable part-time associate to assist customers, demonstrate products, and help run events in the evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities include operating the register, stocking shelves, and keeping the store welcoming. Prior retail or game-store experience is helpful but enthusiasm and reliability are most important for joining our team.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or retail helpful.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Availability for select evenings and weekend shifts.
• Applicants must be at least 16 years old.

Part‑Time | Select Evenings & Weekends

Game Haven is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Part‑Time Game Store Associate to join our team in Waunakee.

Job type: Part‑time Location: Waunakee, WI Salary: $8.00 – $14.00 Hourly Application Deadline: Dec 31, 2026

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, helpful customer service to guests of all ages and experience levels
• Help customers find and learn about board games, trading card games, role‑playing games, miniatures, puzzles, toys, and other products
• Operate the point‑of‑sale system and accurately process customer purchases
• Stock, organize, and merchandise products throughout the store
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming retail environment
• Assist with store events, organized play, and community activities as needed
• Complete opening, closing, and general store responsibilities as assigned
• Learn about new products and hobbies in order to make helpful recommendations
• Work independently and responsibly during assigned shifts

• Warhammer or other miniature games
• Retail or customer service
• Organized gaming events

You do not need to be an expert in everything Game Haven carries. Enthusiasm, reliability, and a willingness to learn are more important than extensive gaming knowledge.
