Voodoo, a consumer tech company, is seeking a talented Game Designer for its internal RPG studio. You will drive design pipeline, implement features, and own balancing, collaborating across UI/UX, gameplay, and analytics to deliver a high-quality, live mobile title.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in gaming as a designer, mobile/F2P/RPG experience, data-driven mindset, and strong English communication. Relocation support is available to Warsaw and Beijing-based options.

Team

You will be an integral part of a newly established internal studio, a dynamic and focused team dedicated to one of our most promising prototype in scale. This studio is specifically chartered to improve this high-potential game up to the successful and market-ready title it is meant to become.

Role

We're seeking a talented and seasoned Game Designer who is deeply passionate about RPG/midcore games and laser-focused on creating the next big hit. With extensive experience in the industry, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering fun to millions of players. As the driving force behind the game's success, you'll ensure the game reaches the highest standards of quality and innovation.

• Define a clear, cohesive design pipeline

• Pitch and implement big features to the team, deconstructing them into smaller components

• Own game balancing, pace, feel

• Always back up your ideas with available data points

• Ability to deconstruct and analyze mobile games mechanics

• Get involved in all aspects of game development: UI, UX, Game Design, logic, performance, etc.

• Fine-tune game balancing, pacing, and feel

• Benchmark the market to stay on top of new trends

• Understanding of models and tools to analyze gameplay and user behavior

Profile

• At least 3 years of professional experience in the gaming industry as a Designer

• Experience working on mobile games, F2P or RPG

• Experience in designing LiveOps for a live product is a huge plus

• Creative and hacker mindset

• Good sense of gameplay experience, and special attention to detail

• Communication skills in English, both written and verbal

• Knowledge of casual games

• Deep collaboration mindset, including excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a positive mindset towards receiving, acting on, and giving feedback

• Accountability, independence, and responsibility when given ownership over your work

• An eagerness to learn new ways to perform your tasks in a more efficient way, and to improve yourself day after day
