Job summary

Blue Mantis is seeking a highly skilled IT Operations Engineer to support enterprise data centers and game‑day operations in the NYC/NJ area. This is an onsite role with weekend and holiday coverage; first shift from 7 AM to 4 PM, with days onsite Friday through Tuesday.

Candidates should be proficient in Windows/Linux/Unix, cloud and virtualization, and networking, with experience in Cisco/Nexus/Arista environments, cloud platforms, backup and DR tools, and monitoring systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent hands‑on experience.
CCNA or CCNP (or equivalent) ITIL and related certifications preferred.
Experience in a complex multisite, high‑availability environment.
US citizen/Green Card holder or valid work authorization; no relocation provided.

Responsibilities

Server Administration: Manage Windows, Linux, and Unix environments to ensure optimal performance.
Cloud Operations: Administer AWS, Azure, and O365 for enterprise workloads and containerization.
Virtualization: Manage VMware environments for performance, scalability and uptime.
System Monitoring: Use SolarWinds and DataDog to ensure reliability and performance.
Incident Management: Lead network-related incident resolution and escalation.
Security Best Practices: Implement secure networking in on‑prem and cloud environments.
Documentation: Create and maintain detailed topology maps and procedures.
