Job summary

Centerstone in Kirksville, MO seeks a Prevention Project Specialist (Gambling) to empower local coalitions and community members through education, planning, and technical assistance, reducing gambling-related harm across North Missouri.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, deliver trainings, manage data, and contribute to strategic work plans while traveling within the region as needed. This full-time role emphasizes community health and prevention-based approaches.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or Bachelor's degree with at least 1 year of relevant experience in social services, behavioral health, or public health.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for community coalitions, task forces, organizations, and community members seeking gambling prevention resources.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and consultation to coalitions focused on gambling prevention efforts.
• Assist coalitions with strategic planning, program development, grant applications, and community engagement initiatives.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with community stakeholders, schools, agencies, and local leaders.
• Educate communities on gambling prevention best practices, resources, policies, and evidence-based strategies.
• Deliver training, technical assistance, and consultation to enhance local prevention capacity.
• Connect communities with prevention resources and support services as available.
• Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of strategic work plans.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data to support prevention initiatives and community presentations.
