Job summary

Centerstone in Kirksville, MO is seeking a Prevention Project Specialist to lead coalition work across Northeast Missouri. You will partner with schools, local leaders, and prevention partners to identify priorities, develop strategies, and secure funding for evidence-based programs.

You will provide coaching, training, and technical assistance, analyze data to guide decisions, and coordinate reporting to ensure grant compliance while expanding prevention capacity across the region.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent with a public health/public service background.
• One year of professional experience in a social service, prevention, public health, or community-based setting.
• Travel within the service area and obtain MSAPA credential within six months; SAPST within nine months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead liaison for community coalitions, task forces, and prevention partners; provide guidance and technical assistance.
• Connect communities with evidence-based prevention programs, tools, and resources; facilitate training opportunities.
• Contribute to annual needs assessments and strategic work plans; analyze data to support decisions.
• Create and deliver presentations and educational materials for partners and stakeholders; promote prevention awareness.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports; ensure compliance with contracts and grant deliverables.
