Centerstone in Kirksville, MO is seeking a Prevention Project Specialist to lead gambling prevention efforts across North Missouri. You will educate communities, support coalitions, and deliver training while coordinating strategic plans and evaluating impact.

The role emphasizes partnership-building with schools and local leaders, data-informed decision-making, and compliance with contract requirements. A strong health-focused mission guides daily work.

Qualifications

• Strong ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and presentation skills.
• Ability to write reports, develop strategic plans, and communicate complex information clearly.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other technology tools used for reporting and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, coaching, and consultation to community coalitions focused on gambling prevention efforts.
• Deliver training, technical assistance, and consultation to enhance local prevention capacity.
• Conduct annual community needs assessments and coalition assessments to identify priorities and opportunities.
• Prepare annual and quarterly reports, and complete required documentation.
• Participate in statewide prevention networks, trainings, and professional development.
