Job summary

Legacy Treatment Services Group seeks a Gambling Disorder Clinician to provide comprehensive treatment and case management for individuals with gambling disorder and co-occurring MH/SUD in a state-funded program in New Jersey.

Responsibilities include screening with BPGS, CBT/DBT/MI-based therapy, psychoeducation, recovery support, and dedicated case management within an integrated care team. LMHWs with required licensure are preferred, with ongoing DMHAS training required.

Qualifications

• Licensure in CADC/LCADC with LAC, LPC, LCSW or equivalent.
• Master's in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related behavioral health field.
• 1 year experience with gambling disorders, SUD, or MH preferred.
• Commitment to pursuing ICGC Level I or II within 2 years.
• Ability to deliver culturally competent care.

Responsibilities

• Screening and Assessment: Implement gambling disorder screenings at intake using the BPGS and full assessments for at-risk individuals.
• Treatment Planning: Develop gambling-specific treatment plans addressing gambling and co-occurring MH/SUD issues.
• Clinical Interventions: Provide individual, group, and family therapy focused on gambling disorder using CBT, DBT, and MI.
• Psychoeducation: Conduct education sessions on gambling disorder for consumers and families.
• Recovery Support: Link clients to Gamblers Anonymous, SMART Recovery, financial counseling, and peer recovery services.
• Case Management: Assist with social, financial, and legal consequences of gambling addiction; connect to community resources.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain clinical documentation and comply with DMHAS reporting requirements.
• Training and Supervision: Participate in DMHAS-sponsored training, including Rutgers 30-hour gambling training.
• Collaboration: Work with a multidisciplinary team and liaise with external agencies.
