Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. in Idaho is seeking a Galvanizing Services Technician to perform welding and fabrication, operate forklifts and overhead cranes, and inspect materials to meet ASTM A123 and customer specs.

This role requires 3+ years of experience, ability to pass welding tests, and willingness to work 1st shift (Mon-Fri 6:30am–3:00pm). PPE and safety training provided; on-site work environment.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of relevant experience.
• Six months of welding experience or equivalent training.
• Ability to pass level 1 welding capability test on site.
• Read and follow English instructions; basic math and safety knowledge.
• Read welding drawings and interpret safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding and fabrication tasks including cutting, grinding, and fitting.
• Operate forklifts to move material safely.
• Operate overhead bridge cranes for suspended/non-suspended loads.
• Inspect incoming, in-process, and finished materials per specs.
• Complete the AGA course within 30 days and maintain PPE.
