Job summary

Bookmans Entertainment Exchange in Phoenix seeks a part-time Gallery Department Staffer to help create a welcoming, customer-focused store atmosphere. The role involves assisting customers, buying, processing and merchandising gallery merchandise, and supporting trade counter activities.

Responsibilities include stocking, pricing, and organizing housewares, toys and jewelry; using reference materials as needed; and collaborating with Gallery Department Supervisor and store management.

Qualifications

• Flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, mid-shifts, and weekends.
• Diverse housewares/toys/jewelry product knowledge.
• Understanding of pricing, trading, and discount systems at Bookmans.
• Motivated to learn how to buy/process/sell Gallery Merchandise.
• Knowledge of store sections and layout.
• Ability to work independently with guidance and direction from the Gallery Department Supervisor/Lead and Store Management.
• Civil, professional, and respectful demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Lead a customer-friendly store atmosphere with exceptional customer assistance.
• Apply knowledge of housewares, toys, and jewelry to buying, processing, and selling merchandise.
• Staff prices, sorts, stocks, and merchandise all areas of the department, including Incoming Merchandise/Trade counter buying and pricing merchandise.
