Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be a student at Saint Xavier University.
• Must be Federal Work Study Eligible.
• Must include a Resume and Cover Letter.
• Clerical, computer, design, photo skills, and working with the public are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitors public viewing hours.
• Greets visitors.
• Assists in maintenance of galleries both at the Visual Arts Center and at the Warde Academic Center.
• Performs clerical tasks such as copying, filing, scanning, and typing documents.
• Assists in show installation and de-installation.
• Assists in packaging shows for shipment.
• Assists in unloading and loading artists' vehicles when delivering or picking up work.
• Assembles mass mailing.
• Answers phone.
• Safeguards Gallery exhibits by making sure the Gallery is alarmed and disarmed as necessary.
• Assists Studio Lab Manager with archiving events and exhibits through means of video and photography.
• Helps Gallery Director host visiting artists’ receptions.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
