Job summary

Regions Bank in Birmingham, Alabama seeks an Accounting Analyst to prepare accurate monthly and quarterly financial reporting, support GAAP research, and drive process improvements. You will produce detailed reports and respond to inquiries from business partners, working with risk and corporate governance teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and at least three years of experience in public accounting or industry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a directly related field.
• Three (3) years in public accounting or industry with reporting, policy, or financial analysis experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists in preparation detailed reports and presentations for review by all levels of management.
• Contributes to process improvements and makes recommendations on occasion.
• Researches and responds to technical accounting inquiries from our business partners.
• Analyzes and resolves problems using prescribed guidelines or policies.
• Completes ad-hoc reporting or other special projects as they arise.
• May act as a resource for associates with less experience.
• Creates and maintains databases, documentation, and data in a meaningful format.
• Works independently and receives minimal guidance.
